us excited about our first holiday

it feels good to actually have notes that come in hundreds and thousands right?
cos that will never happen here in s'pore unless you're working full time.
(at least for me la. :p)

our first meal in bkk.
crispy noodles which taste damn awesome!!

now they're olive-gold.

the super yummy noodles with chunks of chicken meat and mountains of greens
i've never tasted noodles better than this anywhere else.

HOT PINK CABS are LOVE!!!!

it's a 20 minute walk from the hotel to the nearest train station

i have in my hand a cup of tea-time with pearls.
tea-time rocks i tell you
it tastes like teh chino except 100 times better!!

we check out the big malls.
to name a few mbk, siam paragon, centralworld.. (i can't remember the rest)
you can't take pictures in shopping malls in bkk.

everyone knows how much i love coke.
i can have it with breakfast, lunch, dinner or supper.

for dinner we have a sukiyaki buffet in mbk for only 200baht.

after our dinner we went back to the hotel for a shower
and then for a 2 hour thai massage nearby.
damn painful but shiok at the same time! :X
we then took a cab to a nightmarket just to explore it.

got myself a super blingged iphone cover from mbk the day before.

though not of the swarovski quality,
still very chio to look at.

more exploring around bkk.
we initially wanted to look for bike shops but couldn't find
we went to some like market place which sold alot of misc items like car stereos, chiong mp3 players, torchlights, dvds and players etc etc.
no pictures taken there though.
and then we went to a nearby pasar malam where xiang needed to help his friend get a watch
i got pretty irritated at the time cos we were at one stall for almost a whole hour
before he finally got a watch that suited said friend's preference. o.0
then we went to big C for dinner and caught a movie.

initially our papaya crab salad was served
with all the bits and pieces of crab strewn all over the plate in different parts of the salad
at first we thought it was only one crab

so me being me,
decided to fish out all the decapitated parts
and joined them back to their original forms
as best as i could
cos some parts were missing and some i simply don't know what the belonged to where.
turns out there were 2 mini crabs
damn cool la, one's red and the other's a purple-blue.
tadah!!

i love this building.
cos it has that huge changing rainbow strip on the top. :X

we then end up at a&w for supper.
cos we had a small squabble before that,
dumb dumb xiang got me this bear to pacify me.
heh heh. :)

shopping time at chatuchak!
the place is bloody big and every aisle looks the same
so it's easy to get lost and overhwhelmed by the sheer number of shops and people

we'd spent about 2-3 hours walking
and we were both hungry, tired and sticky

been ignoring that booth at cineleisure for months for fear of hefty prices
and waiting to go to bkk to get it.

xiang decided to take a shortcut back to the hotel
we walked past some streets with shops
and houses beside a railway track
and then we ended up walking to a very far away dead end
so we retraced our steps and explored the shops/scenery at the area instead.


by the time we got back to the correct way,
the sky turned from as light as the pictures above
to as dark as the ones below.

went back to the hotel to bathe, went for an hour thai massage
and back to the hotel again to meet sx's friends who arrived on that day
to celebrate sx's birthday.
we had dinner at some zhu-chao-like-place


sx tried to take a pic of our reflection but failed miserably

we went to 3 clubs that night in fact.
the atmosphere in bkk clubs is amazing
sound systems are way better and the crowds are hawt!
only downside is that they don't have proper dancefloors
so you have to dance beside tables and chairs

we haven't gone clubbing together for a longggggggggggg time
because he's such an 'old and boring' man
and doesn't club anymore.
(how can when your gf loves itttttt??? boo.. ): )

i wonder what we were talking about at the time?

no pictures because the girls and guys seperated into respective groups to shop at chatuchak & platinum mall
and all the pictures taken during these 2 days were taken
using xiang's friend's camera.

on day 4 we went to chatuchak again
we girls didn't reall buy much.
especially me cos i'd already been there the day before
after which it was back to the hotel and for a massage again
we girls and ed opted for the oil massage
which left us naked except for our undies and the masseurs actually massaged our "chest area"
wasn't expecting that and it felt really really weird. :S
had dinner at this chinese sharks fin soup place under jason's recommendation
we went clubbing again that night

day 5 was spent shopping at platinum for the first half of the day
this time round us girls had a much more productive shopping trip. :X
me and sx went back to the hotel to put down our stuff
and went on a dinner date by ourselves.
we then met up with the rest at the night market me and xiang had gone to on day 1
to get last minute stuff like our luggage and souvenirs
we had to stay up til 2am to pack all our stuff!! o.0





we had to get all our junk out of our room before 12pm.
so we got up, got ready, last minute packing and out the door we go.

in all our 6 days there,
we hadn't taken pictures of the room yet
so what better time than before we check out right?

we bought that 'the north face' luggage at the night market

we ended up in smaller groups that day cos everyone wanted to go somewhere different
so me, xiang and ed ended up together.
we had jap food at mbk for lunch
quite yummy plus so much cheaper than s'pore's jap food.

we shopped at mbk, big c, central world, etc etc
we also went back to that day market place to get locks for our luggages
plus a teapot meant for drinking tea leaves that sx has been looking
for since he came back from ipoh 2 weeks before.

so we could all take the cab to the airport together.
waited for ed to go to the toilet to take a couple of pics with xiang
paiseh to do it in front of ed. :X

we actually checked in and boarded at last call.

and then we're back in good ol' changi airport!
while waiting for my dad to get there..

and that's the end of
cole and xiang's first holiday together.
