i usually don't listen to them
and they sit in my music folder left neglected
until i hear a song i really like on the radio or on tv,
i remember key phrases or whatever bits i can pick out,
start searching for the song
and realize that its been actually been under my fingertips all along.
like today,
i was watching criminal minds and they played this song twice in the show.
if you know me well, though i'm always going on about how i am an "r&b' person,
i am also a sucker for sad/emo songs,
esp the ones about broken hearts and lost love. (signs of a cynic?? oh no!!)
anyway,
i knew i'd heard it before but i just couldn't put my finger on who sang it or what it was called.
so i googled the parts of the lyrics i could remember
which were "a broken heart a heart that's still beating"
and i get "broken by lifehouse"
sounds familiar, so i check my music folder and wad'dya know?
