went to hougang mall's cafe cartel to celebrate dad's advanced b'day lunch earlier..
been pretty busy with work, work and more work..
i actually worked 4 days this week which is alot considering that there were hardly any events these past few weeks..
only got to ride once this whole week on thursday night..
was feeling hungry after work on thursday so i asked chris out for supper..
we ended up at prata house with his friend, yang wei, and then to yishun dam to slack..
these days people have been asking me why i still bus/train when i have a bike..
if not then they ask me why i don't ride out to far away places which require me to go on expressways..
it's not that i'm selfish and only want to go to nearby places or that i'm stingy and don't want to waste petrol..
BUT i really can't ride out on my own yet..
i'm still like a baby bird learning to flap it's wings..
and i don't want to risk jumping off from the nest only to end up plummeting to my death..
yes, you say i should have guts and give it a try..
but if i myself feel i'm not ready, who's to say i am..?
this is a bike we're talking about, not a car..
once an accident occurs it's direct contact..
you don't have pieces of metal, air bags or what not to protect you..
are you asking me to send myself onto the chopping board..?
let me get ready in my own time..
all i need is someone to lead me for the time being, so that i feel i'm safe..
don't look down on me just because you think i don't have the balls to do it..
everyone starts out from different points, my progress is just much slower..
so give me a break will ya..?
